Sajith Denuwara - we miss you brother
It is with our deepest sorrow we inform you of the death of our beloved brother Sajith Denuwara (43) - husband of Niluka Yasamana Denuwara, father of beautiful daughters Nethuli (12) and Senudi (8).
Sajith known to his friends as "Sira" was a brilliant cricketer who represented the school 1st XI cricket team 1996. He belonged to the 93/96 school batch and a popular student during his time.
Since he moved to the UK in 2002, he has been a permanent member of the Rajans OBU UK. Saijith has been involved in many OBU activities and been a regular team player who represented OBU at Festival of Cricket (FOC). In 2019, Sajith was part of the FOC Plate winning team who brought the first ever major cricket achievement in the UK.
He passed away peacefully in Cheshire, UK in March 2021 after a brave battle with Covid-19.
We would like to thank all the OBU members and families who prayed for his recovery.
